God works in amazing ways. For a full week, Florida's forecast for Sunday showed 100% chance of rain through most of the day. Not just rain, but severe weather, damaging wind, possibility of tornados, lots of lightning... basically the stormiest day ever throughout the entire wedding.

Held at the beautiful Clark Plantation, the plan was to have the ceremony outside amongst the picturesque oak trees and Spanish moss. Plans had to be changed, ceremony moved inside to where the reception would also be held. Thanks to a brilliant wedding coordinator, outstanding vendors, and two families full of love and support, the rain day plan was pulled together and we had a fantastic ceremony. Shortly after, as Dustin and I were swapping gear around for the reception, I felt a familiar warmth. Light started radiating through the rustic hall, illuminating the bride and groom at the head table. I took a step outside and the rain clouds had broken way to the loveliest sky. Yes! We would get a sunset!

Jordan and Jared are the sweetest, humblest, most loving couple. We've been so lucky to be along to document this step in their lives. Jordan didn't have many requests for specific photos she wanted to have outside of standard wedding photos. She just wanted sunset photos at the tree-lined hill on the Clark Plantation property. As soon as I felt that sun on my face, I was so relieved that we would get the photos she was so excited for on their wedding day. I like to think the earlier-than-expected storm departure was God's wedding gift to the newly minted Petersens.

In preparation for their honeymoon, we wanted to get a quick blog up of sneak peek photos. A full blog post will follow in the coming weeks once the gallery is ready. So much thanks to the Petersen and Coyne families and best wishes to Jordan and Jared on a very long and happy life together.
